Founded in 2004 and based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Swade Records is an independent record label dedicated to rock & roll, alternative, indie, punk, and ska music. While many of the label's releases feature Pittsburgh musicians, the intention is not to operate as a region-exclusive label.

In addition to producing new music, Swade Records functions as an outlet store for popular, now-defunct bands. By collecting excess inventory and remaining physical CDs from these groups, the label makes their music accessible to listeners who missed them the first time around or want to explore their past catalogs.
